Who we are


The Pragmatic Analytic Services (PAS) initiative was jointly developed by management consultancy and creative agency komm.passion and Data.Science.Consulting. With PAS, komm.passion CEO Prof. Dr. Alexander Güttler and Dr. Klaus Holthausen, CTO of Data.Science.Consulting, are striving for a more efficient, leaner and more exact new kind of business analysis. With this goal in mind, the initiative combines and improves on a diverse range of tools – including many innovative new ones.

(GPRA) from May 2009 to April 2013.

Dr. Klaus Holthausen

CEO Data Science Consulting

Dr. Klaus Holthausen is a scientist, entrepreneur, author and inventor. For his diploma at the Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Bonn, he investigated how black holes are formed. During the Decade of the Brain in the 90s, he completed his doctoral thesis on biological and artificial neural networks. He is the Chair of a work group on pattern recognition at the University of Jena that developed a patent for a neural internet search engine as early as 1998. For the PAS initiative, Dr. Holthausen contributes his technological expertise for the continuing development of innovative tools for social media analytics.

Thomas Ullrich

Director Consulting und Strategic Advisor

Ullrich initially studied Chemistry and gained his first career experience in industry. Later he moved to the field of communications consulting and trained to become a marketing communications and business administrator alongside his work. Ullrich is the principal author of various textbooks by the publishers Kohlhammer and Springer and also shares his experience in several lecturing posts at institutes like the International School of Management, the German Academy for Public Relations and the Leipzig School of Media. Since the beginning of Ullrich’s work at komm.passion GmbH, an important focus of his work has been on strategic analyses and the integration of data with knowledge from various expert fields.
