komm.passion academy sets the benchmark

The communication agency komm.passion has introduced a new internal professional development concept. The special features are the three final exams on the content, conducted by external experts in cooperation with well known partner organisations.

The contents of the komm.passion Academy, which follows a modular structure, are conception training, presentation techniques, rhetoric and media training as well as project management in an international context, crisis consultancy, topic management, Web 2.0 and leadership courses. The new features of the academy are that the seminars offered are obligatory, build on one another and lead to an examination in “Communication Management”. Trainees therefore each acquire a “Basic Skill Set” over the course of eighteen months and advisors attain an “Advanced Skill Set”. The management team is also actively involved in the professional development concept: they can gain the qualification of “senior agency practitioner”.

“We want this academy concept to set a benchmark for the German PR sector”, explained CEO Dr. Alexander Güttler, continuing: “Everyone benefits from the new concept: the employees, because they attain externally recognised qualifications; the clients, because we continually improve the quality of our work through exams; and of course the agency, because with suitably qualified employees, we can react more quickly to market developments.”

Professor Karl-Martin Obermeier, Munich Technical University and their ¡communicate! programme are amongst the partners of the concept. In total, the komm.passion academy comprises over 200 hours of professional development for all the agency’s employees, taught by over twenty instructors.
